Role Impact Summary
The Swim Coach will lead and strengthen the swim program while fostering a positive and accountable team culture. This role directly impacts athletic performance, leadership development, and long-term program momentum. The successful candidate demonstrates fairness, consistency, and integrity in all coaching decisions.

Responsibilities & Skills That Support Success
- Plan and implement structured, season-long training programs
- Provide technical stroke instruction and individualized feedback
- Prepare athletes strategically for competition
- Foster leadership, resilience, and sportsmanship
- Communicate effectively with families and school leadership
- Uphold WIAA regulations and school standards
Experience We Value
- Competitive swimming and coaching experience
- Ability to positively and effectively motivate high school athletes
- Experience working with high school athletes preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification required
Season and Pool Details
- Girls’ Swim Season: August 11-November 14, 2026
- Boys’ Swim Season: November 16-February 20, 2027
- The team practices at the Mt. Pleasant YMCA daily from 4:30-6:30 PM
