Food Service Manager
The Prairie School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of our food service department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, exceptional leadership skills, and hands-on experience in managing food service operations. This role will be responsible for ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and customer service, while maintaining budgetary goals and fostering a positive work environment.
Preparing and cooking food items to meet requirements of the local and state health and safety regulations and supervising food service staff in the kitchen. Maintain positive relationships with administration, students, staff, and community.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to work alone or with others in a team environment and adapt to change as needed. Must be able to bend, twist, stand, reach, and lift to 50#.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Culinary training is desired.
Certificates: ServSafe Manager Certification or equivalent required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Experience: Food Service experience is required. Working in a school setting is a plus.
